  • When you book your child in for an assessment, I will send an information pack to read prior to the appointment. This will include more details about the assessment, how they need to prepare, and what to tell your child before them come in for their assessment.

  • Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) are part of the Medicare Better Access Initiative.  You will need to attend your GP to get a MHCP in order for you to access rebated sessions for therapy sessions. The current rebate for a clinical psychologist is $145.25. You will pay the full fee and Medicare will pay the rebate back into your nominated bank account.

A MHCP and referral letter from your treating professional can provide access to up to 10 Medicare-rebated therapy sessions per calendar year.

However, if you are happy to pay full-fee (fee’s outlined in Services and Fees), there is no need for you to get a MHCP.

Please note, you do not need a referral to book in an appointment with me. Many people make contact to make sure I have availability and book in before they see their GP. If you would like to claim the Medicare rebate, you will need a MHCP before you attend your first appointment. Medicare will not back-date rebates.
